These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of our website and services, including the booking, attendance, and delivery of all first aid and health & safety training courses we offer. By accessing our site, submitting an enquiry, or making a course booking, you confirm that you understand and agree to abide by the following terms. If you disagree with any aspect of these Terms, please do not proceed with using our services.

We are a professional First Aid & Health and Safety Training Provider based in London, delivering regulated and non-regulated courses to individuals, businesses, childcare professionals, schools, care homes, educational settings, and a wide range of organisations across the UK.

Our training is offered at fixed locations, at your own premises, or via recognised accrediting bodies. These Terms are carefully designed to ensure legal clarity, contractual fairness, and a positive experience for every learner and client.

1. Definitions

For the purpose of these Terms & Conditions:

  • “We”, “us”, “our” refer to the First Aid Training Company.
  • “You”, “your” refers to the individual, organisation, or entity making a booking, attending a course, or using our services.
  • “Course” includes all training sessions we offer, including Paediatric First Aid, Emergency First Aid at Work, First Aid at Work, Basic Life Support, and Onsite Group Training.

  • “Learner” means the person attending the course, whether booked by themselves or by another party.

2. Eligibility to Use Our Services

To make use of our website or book onto one of our training courses, you must:

  • Be aged 18 or over, or be authorised to act on behalf of someone under 18
  • Submit accurate, current, and complete information.
  • Be legally capable of entering into binding agreements.
  • Be accessing our services from within the UK or a jurisdiction where our services are legally available.

We reserve the right to reject bookings that do not meet our eligibility criteria.

3. Course Bookings

3.1 Booking Process

You can book a training course through:

  • Our secure online booking system
  • Email communication
  • Telephone support
  • In-person or bulk booking requests for on-site training

All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation. Once received, we will issue a Booking Confirmation Email outlining your course details, schedule, location, and any additional requirements. This forms a contractual agreement between you and us.

3.2 Group & Onsite Bookings

For businesses and organisations requesting group or workplace-based training:

  • A tailored quotation will be provided, based on the number of participants, course type, and delivery location.
  • Confirmation is only valid once payment is made or a formal purchase order is received.
  • You must notify us of any changes to delegate numbers or training venue at least 5 working days prior to the training date to avoid penalties or disruption.

In certain cases, a site visit may be required to assess suitability for practical training.

4. Payments, Invoicing & Pricing

4.1 Payment Terms

  • Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed
  • Payment methods accepted include debit/credit card, BACS transfer, and authorised purchase orders
  • Group bookings may be invoiced with 7, 14 or 30-day payment terms, depending on account status
  • Failure to pay invoices on time may result in cancellation or suspension of course attendance

4.2 Pricing

Our prices:

  • Are displayed in British Pounds (GBP)
  • Include training delivery, assessment, and certification unless stated otherwise
  • Are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise indicated

We reserve the right to adjust our pricing structure at any time. Quoted prices are guaranteed only once your booking has been confirmed and paid for.

5. Cancellations, Refunds & Transfers

5.1 Cancellation by You

If you wish to cancel a confirmed course booking, the following refund policy applies:

  • Cancellation 14+ working days before the course: 100% refund
  • Cancellation 7–13 working days before the course: 50% refund
  • Cancellation less than 7 working days before the course: No refund available

All cancellations must be submitted via email to our admin team and acknowledged in writing.

5.2 Transfers & Rescheduling

You may request to reschedule or transfer your booking to an alternative date:

  • Free of charge if requested more than seven working days before the course
  • A £25 administrative fee applies to short-notice transfers (under 7 working days)
  • A maximum of one transfer is permitted per learner

Rescheduling is subject to availability. If no suitable alternative dates are available, cancellation terms will apply.

5.3 Cancellation by Us

We reserve the right to cancel a course in the event of:

  • Low enrolment numbers
  • Trainer illness or emergency
  • Venue issues, travel disruption, or adverse weather
  • Force majeure circumstances beyond our control (e.g. natural disasters, strikes, pandemics)

In such cases, you will be given the option of a full refund, a credit note, or rescheduling to a future date. We are not liable for external costs (e.g. travel or accommodation) incurred by you.

6. Attendance, Assessment & Certification

6.1 Attendance Requirements

To be eligible for course certification:

  • Learners must attend all sessions of the training
  • Missed sessions, late arrivals, or early departures may disqualify a learner from passing
  • Attendance will be recorded and monitored for quality assurance

6.2 Learner Conduct & Behaviour

All learners are expected to:

  • Participate respectfully and responsibly
  • Follow the trainer’s instructions at all times
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment

We reserve the right to remove any learner from a session without refund if they:

  • Exhibit disruptive, offensive, or unsafe behaviour
  • Appear to be under the influence of alcohol or illegal substances
  • Refuse to follow health and safety protocols

6.3 Assessments & Reassessment Policy

Some courses include practical skill assessments or written theory tests. Learners who do not meet the required standard may:

  • Be offered a reassessment opportunity (free or paid, depending on the course)
  • Need to re-enrol for the course at a discounted rate, subject to trainer availability

6.4 Certification

Certification is issued upon successful completion of the course and assessments. Certificates:

  • They are valid for the duration specified (typically 1–3 years)
  • Will be sent electronically within 7–10 working days
  • Can be provided in printed format on request (postal fee may apply)

If you have not received your certificate within 14 days, please contact our team.

7. Course Content & Regulatory Compliance

All our courses are designed to:

  • Meet UK health & safety legislation and regulatory standards
  • Follow the latest HSE, EYFS, Ofsted, and Resuscitation Council UK guidelines
  • Be regularly reviewed and updated to maintain accuracy and relevance

We reserve the right to amend content, delivery format, or course materials without prior notice where necessary to remain compliant.

8. Accessibility & Special Requirements

We are committed to providing inclusive training. If you or your learners have any of the following, please notify us during booking:

  • Learning difficulties (e.g. dyslexia, autism, ADHD)
  • Medical conditions (e.g. epilepsy, asthma, diabetes)
  • Mental health considerations
  • Physical access needs (wheelchair access, visual/hearing impairment)

Reasonable adjustments will be made to accommodate learners and promote equal learning opportunities. Additional time or alternative assessment formats may be offered based on the nature of the course and the learner’s needs.

9. Use of Our Website

9.1 Content Accuracy

We strive to ensure all content on our website is correct and up to date. However:

  • Errors may occasionally occur in course listings, dates, or pricing
  • We reserve the right to amend website content without notice

We will not be held responsible for any losses resulting from reliance on incorrect or outdated website content.

All content on our website, including course descriptions, logos, branding, images, documents, and written material, is protected by intellectual property rights. You may not:

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Our liability is capped at the total amount paid for your course
  • We do not cover external costs such as loss of earnings, childcare, travel, or accommodation

We accept no responsibility for loss resulting from circumstances beyond our control. These Terms do not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable UK laws.

11. Privacy & Data Protection

Your data is processed in accordance with:

  • The UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR)
  • The Data Protection Act 2018

12. Complaints Procedure

We value your feedback and are committed to resolving any issues promptly. To raise a complaint:

  1. Send an email to our admin team outlining the nature of your concern
  2. We will acknowledge receipt within 2 working days
  3. A thorough investigation will be conducted and completed within 10 working days
  4. A formal written outcome will be provided

We aim to resolve complaints amicably and efficiently. Escalation to awarding bodies is available for regulated courses if needed.

13. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions and any disputes arising from them are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in England and Wales.
